Round Kitchen Table Buying Guide

Whether you have outgrown your old kitchen table, or are just in the market for a new one, this purchasing guide will tell you what to look for when shopping for a new kitchen table and chairs. Kitchen tables come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and materials. The one that you choose will depend on your style, the space available, and budget. Round kitchen tables are a good fit if you are looking for a table that will provide ease of movement around your dining room or kitchen. This style of dining room table is also useful for group events, such as playing cards or board games.

When shopping for a new round kitchen table there are three things to keep in mind:

1. Space: Before purchasing a new dining set make sure to measure the space where you will put the table and chairs. Make sure that there is enough room around the table so that people can move around the table while people are seated. I would recommend allowing at least a three foot buffer between the table and any walls or cupboards.

2. Color: There are many colors of tables to choose from. If you are going for a cozy farmhouse look choose a light stain. Something similar to a golden oak color. For a more formal look a cherry or dark mahogany finish will give that impression. Choose the table that fits your decor the best.

3. Wood: Kitchen dining sets come in a variety of wood types. Harder woods such as cherry or oak will keep a finish longer than softer woods such as pine. Match the table wood with the decor of your dining room. If you have cherry baseboards a nice cherry dining table would match well. If you have white baseboards a light pine would match perfectly.

Keep these tips in mind when purchasing a new dining set. Round kitchen tables can run from $125 to over $5,000 depending on wood type and size.
